Crazy WSJ rumor

Let’s be clear: This is silly, impossible and even a little amusing, in a scary sort of way. It’s the kind of thing you might ignore – except that it’s making the rounds and many of you are bound to hear about it (if you haven’t already). The rumor has Rebekah Wade (yes, that's how she spells it) being named the Journal's new ME. Wade is editor of British tabloid The Sun, which happens to be owned by News Corp. (and doesn't appear to have a biz page, from what I can see). One of the Sun's top stories today is about a Kung fu master in China who drilled his head and stomach. Just to give you some idea. Anyhoo, Dealbreaker's John Carney posts that Journal Publisher Robert Thomson may favor having Wade replace Marcus Brauchli. Gawker's Nick Denton, who has good sources at the Journal, didn't mention Wade by name in an earlier post, noting that "there's a rumor too crazy even for me to pass on."
