Jurors in the wiretap trial were told to disregard the tantalizing testimony of NY hedge fund manager Adam Sender, who said the Hollywood private eye suggested that film producer Aaron Russo could be knocked off. Sender was ticked off at having given Russo a bunch of money to makes movies that Russo never made. Sender said Pellicano told him Russo could be killed as he drove from Vegas to L.A. by someone who would run him off the road and bury his body (from what I hear about that road, you wouldn't need Pellicano to get the deed done). Well, Chad Hummel, who represents former cop Mark Arneson, said that Sender’s testimony was extremely prejudicial to his client and the other defendants because no one has been charged with murder. Federal Judge Dale S. Fischer agreed, so now the jury is being told to forget about what they heard. "They'll probably now remember the testimony even more...," writes Allison Hope Weiner on the Huffington Post. Tomorrow Chris Rock testifies.
