AA's impact at LAX

American Airlines canceled 25 of its 92 daily departures at LAX as a result of the massive maintenance inspections that have grounded much of the fleet. That's certainly bad news for would-be passengers on those 25 flights, but American only handles 15 percent of the airport's passengers, so the impact is not nearly as great as, say, Dallas and Chicago, which are major hubs for the airline. American also canceled two flights at John Wayne, five at Ontario and four at Bob Hope Airport in Burbank. They're hoping to be back to normal by the weekend. (LAT)
