Another round of talks is scheduled this week, presumably to kick around the idea of making News Corp.'s MySpace a Yahoo asset in return for News Corp. getting a big hunk of equity in the search company. A News Corp. delegation flew up to see the Yahoo folks last week. For Yahoo, the main attraction would be to get Microsoft out of its hair. But Silicon Alley Insider's Peter Kafka says the odds of a deal are quite low. So why are they talking? "Because neither side has anything to lose, and both get something out of the conversations no matter what they lead to," Kafka writes.
