That's the videogame industry's annual get-together, which moved to several Santa Monica hotels last summer after 12 years at the L.A. Convention Center. The Santa Monica switch was part of E3's unusual downsizing from a 60,000-plus-person expo to a more of a conference, with just 5,000 attendees. This summer, it's back downtown, though with the new format only a small portion of the Convention Center will be used. That makes it a low-impact event, revenue-wise. (Variety)
