Wake me up at my stop

It's likely to be a long snooze. Congress voted to repeal a 20-year-old prohibition against using federal money to tunnel under the Wilshire Corridor. Terrific, right? Well, not right. The bill doesn’t include any money for the proposed 13.2-mile "subway to the sea." All they did was remove the subway prohibition that shouldn't have been there in the first place (Thanks a lot, Henry Waxman). Oh, and get this: The repeal may not even go through because it's part of a $106 billion transportation bill that Prez. Bush threatens to veto. Never mind folks, I'll just walk. (Daily Breeze)
