Now the union representing clerical workers is back threatening a walkout, which would effectively shut down operations at the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach. Just a few hours ago it looked as if the union and the shippers would resume negotiations. "Talks are over ... We've gone as far as we could go and done everything we could do," John Fageaux Jr., president of the Local 63 Office Clerical Unit of the International Longshore and Warehouse Union, told KNX. Well, maybe. This thing is obviously moving in a bunch of different directions. (Daily News)
