Maybe the department store giant wil eventually get gobbled up by private equity. But so far investors aren't biting. A day after Women's Wear Daily reported that Kohlberg Kravis & Roberts was in talks to buy the department store giant for $24 billion, shares in the company fell 1.25 percent (though the stock had been down as much as 3.1 percent).
