The word from Nikki Finke is that the network's enteretainment head, Kevin Reilly, is out. The desired replacement appears to be producer Ben Silverman ("The Office," "Ugly Betty" and a bunch of reality shows). The timing is strange because Reilly just signed a new contract in March after months of rumors about his getting the boot. That will be an expensive contract to break, although NBC has had a rotten year, finishing the season in fourth place. And when times are bad, the TV folks are always under pressure to fix it - like now. But will Silverman take the gig? Finke says that NBC CEO Jeff Zucker is prepared to offer a bunch of money (or perhaps let him keep his production company on the side). A deicison is possible in the next couple of days.
