And it's not one of the names that have been bandied about. Several news organizations are reporting this afternoon that ad executive Joe Uva, CEO of media buying agency OMD, is about to be offered the job. The Spanish-language media giant is in the process of being acquired by billionaire Haim Saban and a group of private equity firms. Uva has a couple of key challenges: Generate a bigger chunk of advertising dollars (rates are routinely cheaper than on English-language networks), and present a kinder, gentler image to Madison Avenue (Univision has played hard ball when it comes to cutting deals).
