They're due out Wednesday and they're not going to be pretty. Analysts expect fourth-quarter profit to be 46 cents per share, compared with 64 cents a year earlier and revenues little changed. About the best thing the NYT Co. has going for it has nothing to do with journalism - it's About.com. The research-oriented Web site is growing very well, though at a modest base (revenue of $22.1 million compared with $904 million companywide). The stock has been down 17 percent over the past year - worse than Wash Post, Gannett, and yes, even Tribune. By the way, Tribune's fourth-quarter numbers will be released on Feb. 8.
