Jimmy Iovine, Dr. Dre fund new music academy at USC

History of the Eagles released on disc (video)

eagles-grab.jpg The Eagles, started in Los Angeles in 1971 by Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Bernie Leadon, and Randy Meisner, grew out of the Linda Ronstadt, David Geffen, Troubadour club association that wrote several chapters of the future history of the music business. Oscars move to March for 2014, MTV video awards go to Brooklyn

Idea: Designate Tower Records a cultural landmark

Bobby Rogers shared a birthday with Smokey Robinson and they began singing together at Detroit's Northern High School. Their group, The Matadors, changed its name to The Miracles after Rogers' cousin, Claudette Rogers, joined. They became the first Motown Records success.
