Speaking of gadflies, as we just were, the other day at the county Board of Supervisors the local crazy John Walsh screamed at the supes that they were all gentiles and had just voted to unloose a wave of anti-Semitic Moslems on the Jews of Los Angeles County. They aren't and they hadn't, of course — the vote was to express a willingness to accept Syrian refugees fleeing ISIS and civil war — but gadflies don't bother with the details. Walsh apparently also forgot that he was lecturing a Jew when he called Supervisor Sheila Kuehl "an anti-Semitic scumbag."
Kuehl snapped and called out Walsh in a fashion that many Los Angeles electeds before her wished they had.
"Listen, you asshole, I am a Jew!," Kuehl said, frosty as all hell. "My mother was a Jew! And if you say that again, I will shout the entire time you are talking! Thank you."
Hey, Walsh should be happy somebody was listening. His time at the speaker table is usually for making phone calls or checking email. This time they cut off his mic.
