Clifton's was closed all weekend

The new Clifton's opened last week for hosted events but was unexpectedly closed all weekend "due to some unforeseen circumstances," a sign taped to the door said. Workers were visible scampering around, including up on the big marquee outside. There's a sold-out benefit scheduled there tonight for the Los Angeles Conservancy. The doors are scheduled to open to the public on Tuesday.
