Garth Kemp, the weekday morning weather anchor on Channel 7 in Los Angeles, has left the station. The news was posted on his own Twitter feed just after noon. His bio remained on the KABC-TV website for a few hours and emails to KABC to confirm his status were not returned. Later in the day his bio disappeared — the news team bios now go from Leticia Juarez to Dave Kunz — and a Facebook post under Kemp's name repeated the news.
We want to let you know Garth Kemp has resigned from KABC-TV.
We thank him for his 17 years as part of Eyewitness News and wish him well.

His last previous re-tweet two days ago mused about the need for an agent. Coincidence?

TV Spy says that Kemp started at KABC in 1998 as a weekend weather guy and later moved to weekday mornings. The site also notes that in June Kemp got in a social media spat with the Kardashian family over a tweet that seemed to diss the talent of Kim Kardashian.
