What's left of the Grateful Dead is on a final farewell tour for the band's hard-core fans, and the former UCLA Bruin and NBA great Bill Walton is right there with the other Deadheads. "You'd be hard-pressed to find a bigger Grateful Dead fan than Bill Walton," Sports Illustrated says. He has been, by his count, to 854 Grateful Dead shows. He's going for 859. He's more stoked about it than the people who have to stand behind him.

I have never been more excited in my life. 5 shows in 9 days, just like the old days. pic.twitter.com/HwzZynZRVB

Took the opportunity to thank @BillWalton for his support of @UWBadgers bball. Then we went back to enjoying the show pic.twitter.com/h6X0Lt1xHW

Worst seat at a Dead concert? How about the one behind Bill Walton? (H/T @prancitron, @breakground) pic.twitter.com/145fXpJDTP
