The Guardian's U.S. website wants to hire a Los Angeles-based entertainment reporter who can "engage US readers by combining the Guardian's internationalist, online journalism with US voices and expertise." The reporter will be expected to "generate stories and cover breaking news about US music, film and TV." The deadline to apply is Feb. 20, but first, the requirements. From the job posting:

- Ability to write in a variety of formats, including features, blogposts, commentary and news, with wit, rigour and intelligence
- Knowledge and understanding of arts and entertainment and their importance to Guardian US
- Track record in breaking original stories and strong contacts
- Expertise with digital tools including live blogs, social media, data journalism and mobile publishing
- Excellent writing, communication and research skills
- Solid news judgment, an open mind and strong interviewing skills
- Flexible and comfortable multitasking
- Able to form productive relationships within and outside the US Arts department and with industry organisations and contacts
- Comfortable working to tight deadlines and produce high-quality stories under pressure
- Able to generate fresh ideas and angles for stories and storytelling formats
- Experience and willingness to employ video and audio where appropriate
