Elizabeth Kaltman, most recently director of global communications for Walt Disney Studio, died at home Saturday after fighting colon cancer for two years. Kaltman was 41 and leaves a husband, Adam Barondess, and a daughter.
Kaltman was a deputy press secretary in City Hall to Mayor James Hahn, and after Hahn left office she was the communications director for then-City Council member Wendy Greuel. Kaltman moved from City Hall in 2006 to join the Motion Picture Association of America, where she became vice president of communications.
Early on Kaltman worked with Rob Reiner’s early childhood foundation I Am Your Child.
