Great news for the 4th of July: Al Martinez is back

Thumbnail image for al-martinez-photo.jpgFor the first time since January 31, LA Observed columnist Al Martinez has been able to do what he enjoys best. Writing. Tonight Al posted a new blog entry at Native Intelligence since an illness and hospital stay put him on the sidelines. His column reports on a new person in his life.

"Mahlita was one of a small army of home care workers sent to look after my needs following three months of hospitalization for pneumonia, congestive heart failure and a few other less terrifying physical problems," Martinez says. "I was a mess, but I lived. Barely."

More at Native Intelligence. It's great to have Al back. You can wish him well on our Facebook page.
