Bree Walker-Lampley, the 1980s and 90s news anchor on Channel 2 in Los Angeles, was booked early this morning in Anaheim on suspicion of driving under the influence. She was released on a promise to appear in court. Walker, divorced from sportscaster (and her former CBS 2 co-anchor) Jim Lampley, was reportedly stopped after running a red light then failed a field sobriety test. Several years ago she had sought treatment for alcohol dependency, the Orange County Register and other media reports say.
For what it's worth, I see stories about the arrest on the websites of channels 4, 5 and 7 (plus TMZ and the LA Times.) Not seeing it on the CBS website for LA. So you don't have to look it up, the hereditary conditions that affected Walker's hands and that she was a spokesperson for are ectrodactyly and syndactyly.
After leaving TV news, Walker was a talk show host and blogger, and also was in the cast of HBO's "Carnivale."
The mug shot is from the Anaheim Police Department.
