Andrew Youssef, the longtime OC Weekly music writer-photographer who documented his battle against colon cancer in a column for the paper, died over the weekend surrounded by family and friends. He was 38. From editor Gustavo Arellano: "We at the Weekly are devastated, and our thoughts and prayers are with him and his loved ones. But we are also happy to know Andrew was able to experience the love and respect of the music world in his last months, a community that would not let their colleague face the damned disease alone."
