Wilshire corridor

Making Wilshire nice for Ciclavia

ciclavia-pothole-paving.jpg
Preparations for Sunday's Ciclavia are visible everywhere along the route between Downtown's Grand Avenue and Fairfax Avenue at the west end of the Miracle Mile district. On Saturday afternoon, a city crew filled a large pothole at Wilshire and Mariposa Avenue in the Wilshire Center stretch of Koreatown. Below: street barriers stacked up at La Brea and a warning sign for occupants of the buildings near LaFayette Park.

The Ciclavia route will be closed to vehicles from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. A little later, I'll be posting an opinionated guide to some hidden things to see along the route.
