A student named John Zawahri appears in the yearbook of Santa Monica High School. Zawahri is listed as a junior in the 2006 yearbook, but he does not show up a year later with the graduating class of 2007, in either the yearbook or the graduation program. Santa Monica police have not confirmed media reports that John Zawahri was the 23-year-old shooter who killed four people in a shooting rampage Friday. The juniors in 2006 would be 23 or 24 now. Santa Monica police did say that the gunman would have turned 24 today.
