The Boxer Rebellion misses show: band's gear stuck at KCRW (video)

The U.K. band The Boxer Rebellion came into the KCRW studios at Santa Monica College on Friday morning to play a set for "Morning Becomes Eclectic." Then the gunman began shooting on campus and police cleared everyone out of the studios. The band's gear is still locked down. A show scheduled Friday night at The Avalon in Hollywood has been rescheduled for Sunday night, the band says via Twitter.

The band posted a video from the KCRW basement just before the studios were cleared on Friday. Eric Roy had just given a live update on the air. Campus police came in and cleared the station shortly after this scene.


KCRW staffers moved over to the NPR West studios in Culver City to get back on the air in late afternoon. The station is still broadcasting from Culver City today. KCRW general manager Jennifer Ferro from this morning:
