Time ticking for Jenny Price's Malibu beaches app

The Kickstarter campaign to support the hidden beach access app that grew out of an LA Observed series by Jenny Price runs only until May 30 — that's Thursday. They are still about $8,000 shy of the goal, so go check it out. More than 475 backers have pledged already.

Also: There was a nice LA Times Column One story about Jenny today, by staff writer Martha Groves. It contains the true news that Jenny is leaving Los Angeles imminently — first for a fellowship in Munich, then to Princeton to be a visiting humanities professor at the Princeton Environmental Institute. Sad but true. She led one final tour of the Los Angeles River environs this weekend, and it was packed I hear.
