Times-USC poll finds Feuer ahead of Trutanich by 11 points

Challenger Mike Feuer is sitting pretty good with a month to go in the runoff race for city attorney. A new USC Price/LA Times poll of likely voters, conducted this past week, found that 36.8% favor Feuer, to 25.5% for Trutanich, who already is the city attorney. That's about the same spread between the candidates as in the March primary election, when Feuer got 44% and Trutanich 30% in a four-way race. Trutanich hurt his standing by running last year for district attorney, and losing badly, in spite of a firm pledge that he would not run. For him, the bright side in the poll is that almost 38% of voters call themselves undecided. Trutanich would need to win a big majority of those to make up enough ground to keep his job.

The margin of error on this poll is 4.4 percentage points.
