Cary Grant's signature from Earl Carroll Theatre

earl_carroll_cary_grant01.jpgA slab of concrete that is billed as bearing the signature of old-timey movie star Cary Grant from the wall of the legendary 1930s and 40s Hollywood nightspot is up for sale on eBay. Bidding starts at $5,000 — so it better be real. LA historian Larry Harnisch has more at his history blog, The Daily Mirror.

I've written before about the Sunset Boulevard venue, which has also been the Moulin Rouge, the home of the "Queen for a Day" television series, the Hullabaloo, the Kaleidoscope, the Aquarius Theatre, the Chevy Chase Theatre and more recently a Nickelodeon stage.
