Former Los Angeles city attorney Rocky Delgadillo's home in Wilshire Park was gutted by fire over the weekend. Delgadillo, his wife and two boys — and the family dogs — escaped the early morning fire on Saturday. The cause is under investigation. News footage caught flames licking out the ground floor windows and up the side of the home on South Windsor Boulevard. Delgadillo, who tried to fight the fire with a garden hose, was later seen in footage receiving oxygen in an ambulance, but he returned to the home later in the day and told news media that the smoke alarms got everybody up and out to safety. "My wife was extraordinarily courageous and was able to round up the boys and get them out,ā Delgadillo told CBS 2. āIām just happy for the fact that they are fine.ā ABC 7, CBS 2
