Affleck, Bigelow, Bond and Cotillard snubbed by Oscars

jessica-chastain-zero.jpg"Lincoln" received the most Oscar nominations this morning with 12, and "Beasts of the Southern Wild" did surprisingly well. But the James Bond movie "Skyfall" did not get a best picture nomination despite punditry speculating that Bond's time had come. The best director category omitted both Ben Affleck, who directed "Argo," and Kathryn Bigelow, for "Zero Dark Thirty" — although both of those films were nominated for best picture. And Marion Cotillard did not receive a nomination for her role as an amputee in "Rust and Bone."
