Santa Rosa Press-Democrat sold to pols

The newspaper recently owned by the New York Times announced it was bought by a group that includes Darius Anderson, a Sonoma-based developer and top Sacramento lobbyist, and former Democratic congressman Doug Bosco. The former publisher of the San Francisco Chronicle, Steven Falk, is also involved. The sale includes the weekly Petaluma Argus-Courier and North Bay Business Journal in Santa Rosa and affiliated websites. The New York Times had sold the paper and others to Halifax Media Group of Florida back in January.
