Jane Yamamoto now a reporter on Channel 4 news

jane+yamamoto+fox11.jpgEarlier this year, former Fox 11 reporter Jane Yamamoto turned up on CBS covering the Mitt Romney campaign in California. This morning she showed up on NBC 4 covering the wood shop fire at James Monroe High School in the Valley. She tweeted this morning: "Hear what the vice principal is telling me at 6:30am on ch.4 (KNBC) Yes. I'm now at ch.4 news." Don't know her status. These TV gigs are often part-time or temporary; she's not on the Channel 4 website, and it seemed to come as a surprise to NBC 4 weekend anchor Robert Kovacik. He tweeted a public reply to Yamamoto a few minutes ago: "Well, it took almost two decades, but we're finally back together in the same newsroom! Welcome to @NBCLA! xox"
