Beckham to play final game for Galaxy

beckham_tweet_instagram.jpgDavid Beckham announced Monday that the LA Galaxy's upcoming match for the MLS Cup championship will be his last game with the team. He signed a two-year contract extension in January, but the Galaxy website joined today in announcing his impending departure. Beckham, who is 37, made 114 appearances for the Galaxy in six seasons, including friendlies, scoring 15 goals with 48 assists. Three times the Galaxy have made it to the MLS Cup showdown. The championship match against Houston is Dec. 1 at the Home Depot Center.

There's talk that Beckham will go play in Australia or return to England.
