Online magazine for the gay and HIV positive to debut

Positive Frontiers bills itself as "the nation’s only HIV magazine for gay and bisexual men." It's from Frontiers Media, which publishes other gay-oriented publications. About the new venture they say: "Positive Frontiers will be an invaluable resource for gay men living with HIV who seek information, resources and community. This new magazine launches at a time when gay and bisexual men represent the majority of people living with HIV and are 64 percent of all new infections in the United States. In most major urban areas, 20 percent of the gay male population is HIV-positive. Gay and bisexual men are more severely affected by HIV than any other group in the U.S."

Until now, there wasn’t a magazine that addressed the issues specific to gay men living with HIV. Gay men have a very unique relationship to HIV and the epidemic. Positive Frontiers aims to explore various critical issues—stigma, dating, disclosure, relationships, fitness and body image.

Kick-off party is June 24 in West Hollywood.
