The MTA board voted to place a measure on the November ballot to extend by another 30 years Measure R, the half-percent tax for transportation officials that already doesn't expire until 2039. Daily News

The MTA board also approved the team of Gruen Associates of LA and Grimshaw Architects of London to create a master plan for Union Station and the surrounding 40 acres.
