Kerri Walsh, now a mother of two, is back to try it again

Walsh and May-TreanorTwo-time Olympic champion Kerri Walsh of Manhattan Beach tells NBC 4 that she and beach volleyball partner Misty May-Treanor are going for the gold again in London. Since winning the championship medal in Beijing in 2008, Walsh had had two sons — one of them conceived at the games in China. She talks about being a mom, balancing family with being a world-class athlete at 33, and about coming together again with May-Treanor, who first said no to going back to the Olympics.

You may remember that at both Beijing and Athens, after winning the gold medal May-Treanor released some of her mother's ashes on the Olympic sand. May-Treanor says on her website that she's back in the gym and getting ready. Her husband, Matt Treanor, began the baseball season as the backup catcher for the Dodgers. This is his ninth season in the majors.
