As City Attorney Carmen Trutanich inches closer to his inevitable admission that, yes, he is running for DA despite previously saying he wouldn't, some law enforcement say his campaign has been fudging its endorsement list. The Los Angeles Airport Peace Officers Assn., the Los Angeles School Police Assn. and the National Assn. of Prosecuting Attorneys say that Trutanich lists them as supporters but that they have not yet decided to back anybody. "Pretty shady" and "troubling," the president of the airports cops group tells the LA Times. Miscommunication, says Trutanich's senior political advisor, John Shallman.
