Assemblyman Mike Feuer formally announced his candidacy for City Attorney this morning. The honorary co-chairs are former California Supreme Court Justice Carlos Moreno, Sheriff Lee Baca, former city controller Laura Chick, UC Irvine law school dean Erwin Chemerinsky and civil rights attorney Connie Rice. Flackage is coming out of consultant John Shallman's office. Feuer has been fundraising since September and reported he raised $345,262 through the end of 2011, City Maven reports. Feuer, who ran for the post in 2001 and lost to Rocky Delgadillo, is termed out of the assembly this year.
