CHP officer guilty of killing her husband

Former California Highway Patrol officer Tomiekia Johnson was convicted Monday of first-degree murder for shooting her husband beside the Riverside Freeway in 2009. The 32-year-old collapsed in court after the guilty verdict was read. Paramedics were summoned. She had insisted the shooting was an accident that occurred after he had threatened to kill her.
