Oops, live by the monthly deadline, die by the monthly deadline. Los Angeles magazine tried to fudge a little at the top of a nice December piece on Hammer Museum director Ann Philbin and assume that the giant Levitated Mass boulder had moved, on schedule, from its Riverside County quarry to the back forty of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. "Its early-November journey was one of slow determination," RJ Smith wrote. Reasonable assumption, given the plan, but so far it hasn't come true. The move has been delayed by complications until January, at the earliest. And when it happens, oh, you'll hear about it.
