Today's Los Angeles Times op-ed page was devoted to cartoonist Joel Pett's selection of nine cartoons to represent the year almost past. At the top of the page is Steve Greenberg's cartoon on the new Jerry Brown. It ran here at LA Observed on January 2, at the start of Brown's return as governor, so it may have been one of the first political cartoons of 2011, as well as among the best.
Check out the cartoon at LA Sketchbook. More of Pett's picks are here.
