Fairly big quake in southern Mexico

The earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 6.7 struck in Guerrero state about 5:45 p.m. our time. The United States Geological Survey gives the coordinates as 42 km (26 miles) SW of Iguala, 56 km (34 miles) ESE of Arcelia, 62 km (38 miles) NNW of Chilpancingo, and 166 km (103 miles) SSW of Mexico City. It was strong enough to get the media's attention in the capital, but as yet there are no reports of major damage. It's an onshore quake and no tsunami warnings in the Pacific are expected.
