Beck: Negotiating with Occupy LA to leave

occupy-sign-iris.jpgLAPD chief Charlie Beck said Tuesday that he expects long negotiations today with Occupy L.A. on a timeline for protesters to leave the camp outside City Hall. Beck "declined to discuss specifics but told The Times he hopes the Occupy L.A. encampment will be dismantled without the confrontations seen in Oakland, New York and elsewhere," the L.A. Times reports.

Meanwhile: Some reaction to New York authorities keeping the media from observing this morning's shutdown of Occupy Wall Street. NYT, NYT, NBC New York
