Extended DVD of Swedish 'Girl' trilogy coming

lisbeth-salander.jpgThe boxed set to be released here Nov. 22 will add two hours of additional footage not seen in the Swedish theatrical films made from the late Steig Larsson's best-selling novels, starring Noomi Rapace as Lisbeth Salander. The Dragon Tattoo Trilogy: Extended Version "restores notable characters and subplots...most significantly in the portrayal of Erika Berger (Lena Endre), the editor of Millennium magazine as well as Mikael Blomkvistā€™s friend and occasional lover," says Anne Thompson. Berger is the character that Robin Wright plays in the Americanized version of "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" coming in December from David Fincher, with Rooney Mara in for Rapace and Daniel Craig taking over as Blomkvist.
