In the 1964 comedy Sex and the Single Girl, Tony Curtis (a womanizing tabloid reporter) and Natalie Wood (who plays Helen Gurley Brown) gallivant around Los Angeles, sometimes with Henry Fonda in the picture. Late in this YouTube clip, you see the relatively new, pre-landscaping 405 freeway and Sepulveda Boulevard beside it. Hat tip to reader Dave Kunz, who emails that the full movie also shows them driving on and around the Mulholland Drive bridge that will be the focus of so much attention in about a month.
