McCourt's rehab tour, Ethier's streak continue

ethier-streak-swing.jpgDodgers owner Frank McCourt sure has been talkative lately. He's chatted with Bill Shaikin at the Times, Tony Jackson of ESPN, CNBC and elsewhere. Tuesday he went live on ESPN 710 AM with sports talk guys Steve Mason and John Ireland and handled calls from fans. "If the stuff that was written about me was true, I wouldn't trust me either," he quipped. Dodgers Thoughts blogger Jon Weisman of ESPN wasn't sold: "Neither the objective evidence nor common sense back up his assertions, but he asks us to simply believe him." McCourt is scheduled to be on the KTLA Morning Show at 8:10 a.m. on Wednesday.

Earlier in the day: Dodgers may run of cash by end of May

Tonight: Andre Ethier extended his hitting streak to 29 games, but the Dodgers lost 4-1 to the Cubs and again reliever Jonathan Broxton was the story. "Tonight he looked as sickly as he ever has in my memory," Weisman blogged.
