Ethier extends hitting streak to 30

ethier-streak-swing.jpgThe Dodgers' Andre Ethier lined a single to center field in the first inning of tonight's game in New York. That gives him the second-longest hitting streak in Dodgers history, L.A. or Brooklyn. Former centerfielder Willie Davis holds the top spot at 31 games.

Also: The Dodgers put pitcher Jonathan Broxton on the disabled list and called up rookie Kenley Jansen. Broxton is expected to be out at least a month with an elbow problem.
