The Dalai Lama was supposed to speak at 2:30 p.m. at the Long Beach Terrace Theater. A sore throat has delayed his travel from Japan, where he was visiting with earthquake victims, the Office of the Dalai Lama announced. Tickets will be refunded, organizers said in a statement. Presumably he will go ahead with scheduled speaking engagements Monday morning and afternoon at UCLA and Tuesday at USC.
