Books

She knows a good book when she sees one *

wendie_malick.jpgActress Wendie Malick, who interned for congressman Jack Kemp in her college days, was asked by "The Hill" in Washington how she would spend five minutes with President Obama. She got to say what she would ask Obama, what advice she would give, and what topics she would like to bring up. Here at LA Observed we especially liked her answer to one of the questions:

What book would you offer to lend President Obama? Why?

WM: "Mustang: The Saga of the Wild Horse in the American West," by Deanne Stillman.

That would be LA Observed contributing author Deanne Stillman. Malick's devotion to Deanne's book and the issue of wild mustangs runs deep. She's the executive producer and lead actor in a forthcoming TV version of the book.
