Tina Fey and Steve Martin to talk on stage *

fey-martin-ltla.jpgLive Talks Los Angeles has announced that Tina Fey and Steve Martin will be in conversation on April 19 at the Nokia Theatre. (That's the one in L.A. Live.) Fey's new book is "Bossypants." Tickets start at $29 and go on sale March 11.

But before then: Michael Connelly and John Romano chat at Writers Bloc on April 5. Connelly's forthcoming book, "The Fifth Witness," again focuses on lawyer Mickey Haller. I like that one of Connelly's new characters is nicknamed "Bullocks" since she's a recent graduate of Southwestern Law School, which of course occupies the former Bullock's Wilshire store. Romano, a screenwriter and literary critic, turned Connelly's "The Lincoln Lawyer" into a film to be released this month. * Added: Connelly on the process of going from book to film. LAT Magazine

And even sooner: James Gleick is coming to the Petersen Automotive Museum on March 15 to address the question: Are we drowning in information? It's a Zocalo Public Square event.
