Liz Phair, back home in Manhattan Beach after a national performance tour that started in October at the El Rey, plays the Troubadour on Wednesday. Los Angeles Magazine asked the Chicago native to riff a little on life in Los Angeles. Excerpt:

It seems even people in the business don't support record stores any more. Asked for her last music purchase at Amoeba, Phair quips: "Just do iTunes." She heads out to perform at SWSX after the show.
